Software integration is one of the most overlooked and important aspects of any business.  No matter if you operate online, or work on software in your office.  You will probably want to optimize that software so that your employees can work more effectively.  You will be amazed at how a professional system integrator can help your company to optimize your spreadsheets, build local databases, and help control the flow of work in the office.  You will not only want to make your internal software integrate better, but you will especially want to integrate your web site with your internal systems and software. 

It is possible to export prices, product descriptions, and quantities from your accounting programs and upload it directly to a web site.  Scripts can be written that will simplify this process.  This may sound great, but it is not the best solution that is available.  If your organization is looking to aggressively sell products on the internet and grow an online business, you will want to do more to integrate your systems.  The next level of integration relates to having an accounting system integrate by batch upload with your web site.  This type integration is nice but it does not yet represent the best solutions.

The best solution requires the most capital investment, and it is generally reserved for companies willing to make substantial initial investments.  And to be quite frank, this solution, while it is the most integrated will not work for many companies.  First of all you must have the staff who can support such an infrastructure.  You must have an accounting staff, a 24/7 technical support staff, a database administrator, and network support, and other support staff.  So not only does the software and the integration cost more, but you must have the employees that are capable of supporting an infrastructure like this.
